Known as “Alentejo bacon”, SEL- Paia de Toucinho Porco Preto de Campo - Pancetta is obtained from the belly of free-range black Iberian pig.
1. DESCRIPTION
Obtained from the whole pork belly cut, subjected to a curing process in chambers with controlled humidity and temperature, followed by smoking at low temperatures.
2. INGREDIENTS / ALLERGENS
Pork (Origin: EU) (90%), water, salt, red pepper paste, garlic, preservatives: (sodium nitrite and potassium nitrate) and antioxidants: (ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate, sodium citrate). Stuffed in natural casing. Smoked with holm oak wood.

Colour – With a red spiral (“snail”) section corresponding to the pork belly meat (muscle).
Smell – Pleasant, mild and slightly smoky
Taste – Pleasant and mild. With an intense, smoky flavour
Texture – Slightly fibrous and reasonably tender
