Extra Virgin Monovarietal Galega Olive Oil - 500ml

Galega (Galega Vulgar) is Portugal’s hardiest and most representative variety. It is grown across almost the entire country, but has a particularly strong heritage and tradition of cultivation in the Alentejo.

These olives produce an oil with a rich texture, fruity aroma, and a sweet, smooth, balanced and delicate flavour.  Golden in colour, it gives off notes of ripe fruit and has a slightly peppery finish. 
When made from green olives, the oil is slightly bitter and peppery, with a green fruit flavour and almond notes.

Flavour: Ripe fruit, balanced between green and ripe notes, with a touch of pepperiness and almost imperceptible bitterness.
Texture: Smooth, with a light to medium body.
Aroma: Fresh, with herbaceous notes and a clean finish.
Serving suggestion: Galega olive oil is highly versatile and ideal with hearty dishes such as red meat or oily fish. 
It is also a perfect addition to salads and can replace butter in recipes where a healthier, Mediterranean profile is desired.
